Objective |
The
main objective of the proposed project is to develop a centralized monitoring,
smart laboratory and intelligent control system for general hazardous waste
chemical treatment process as well as special waste chemical treatment plants
by using flexible selection of sensor system inside an on-line laboratory
chamber. The main functions of the developed system are as follows:
1. On-line monitoring system to monitor some general and special environmental
parameters such as: Temperature, Pressure, Level, Foam, pH, ORP as well
as TDS, SS, COD, HMs and SAIs.
2. Smart laboratory system for on-line analysis of the condition of input
and output materials such as on-line titration and analysis parameters mentioned
above.
3. Intelligent control system to control and manage the multivariable process.
The parameters to be controlled include: dosage, flow rate, and pressure
etc.
The new system will replace the present tedious and poor human monitoring,
off site laboratory analysis and manual control functions for hazardous
waste treatment process. It is expected to greatly improve system performance
and relevant product quality, increase productivity and profitability of
related industries, and save manpower in installation and maintenance. The
system when duly developed will be practically used in real industrial hazardous
waste chemical treatment plants and will offer an exciting potential for
commercialization.
