Design of Human Machine Interface

There are 3 methods available to be used in communication between human and machine, such as mouse, keyboard and touch screen. The last method need special expensive device. As two control systems running in PureChem Onyx Pte Ltd all adapt mouse and keyboard, we can also use this method in our project in order to be compatible to the existing system. As graphic based interface is more user-friendly than text based interface, we will use graphic based interface to provide an easy-to-use, high reliable operator environment. Through the graphic based HMI, It is easy for the operator to monitor the process, set the working condition of the treatment, search the historical data, and reminder and alarm the operator when necessary.

Human Machine Interface (HMI) of our project is composed of the following functions:
(1) Welcome page, showing the welcome information and sketch of the project to the user.
(2) Homepage of treatment plant, showing the working condition of the treatment plant and important parameters of the instrumentations in treatment plant.
(3) Homepage of smart laboratory system, showing the working condition of the smart laboratory system and important parameter of the instrumentations in smart laboratory system.
(4) Setting the initialization condition of the treatment plant and smart laboratory system.
(5) Searching the historical result of treatment tank and the result of the searching.
(6) Homepage of the monitoring chambers in smart laboratory system, showing the working condition of the monitoring chambers and important parameter of the instrumentation in the monitoring chambers.
(7) The status of the instruments in treatment plant and smart laboratory system.
(8) The alarm message of the instruments in treatment plant and smart laboratory system.
