In January 2005, Staff Recreation Club (SRC) was appointed formally by the NTU President to jointly manage the NTU games comprising the Public Service Star Games (held annually), Public Service Sports Carnival, Inter-Statutory Board Games (ISBG, held biennially) and the Inter Tertiary Institute Staff-National University of Singapore Society Games (ITIS-NUSS held biennially)

NTU Games are played at the University’s level with the aim to win games.  All staff in NTU/NIE are eligible to participate in the games.

Since the corporatisation of NTU this year, NTU can only join in the ISBG games tournaments.

SRC has sports convenors to help with the NTU Games.  They are staff of NTU/NIE.So far we have the convenors for the following sports which are played each week at the Sports Recreation Centre with bookings made by Staff Recreation Club.

· Badminton

· Table tennis

· Tennis

· Soccer

· Squash

· Volleyball

· Netball

We need convenors for pool, track & field, basketball and carom.   You can sign up if you feel that you have the confidence to lead a group of players to go for regular training sessions.
