Objectives: The goal of the CIS 2006 is to bring together experts from the field of cybernetics and intelligent systems to discuss on the state-of-the-art and to present new research findings and perspectives of future developments with respect to the conference themes.

Organizer: The CIS 2006 is organized by the IEEE SMC Singapore Chapter, and is held together with the IEEE International Conference on Robotics, Automation and Mechatronics (RAM 2006).

Upon acceptance, the authors have to register and present their papers at the conference. Only papers that are both registered and presented will be published in the conference proceedings which will then be indexed in the IEEE Library and the EI Compendex Database.

Paper Format:

  • Language - Must written in English and describe original research work
  • Paper Layout - US Letter size, two column format, single spacing and in Times Roman of font size 10
  • Paper Length
    • Initial paper - limited to 6 pages and up to 8 pages maximum, including figures, tables and references
    • Camera-ready paper - limited to 6 pages, including figures, tables and references. A maximum of two additional pages is permitted at an extra charge of US$100 per page.
  • On-line submission - IEEE Xplore compliant PDF file format.
  • Deadline for inital paper submission (Extended) - 3 February 2006
  • Deadline for camera-ready paper submission - 1 April 2006

Invited Sessions: The conference will feature invited sessions on specialized topics of interests. The invited sessions are intended to usher in in-depth discussions in special areas relevant to the conference theme. The session organizers will coordinate the associated review process. All accepted papers will be inlcuded in the conference proceedings. For instructions on proposing and organizing an invited session, please go to Call for Invited Sessions.

Best Student Paper Award: Selection of the best paper will be made at the Conference based on both the technical content and presentation. The winner will be chosen by an Awards Committee in consultation with the International Advisory Committee.
