  • Associate Professor Li Jinyan for winning the Best Application Paper Award at the International Conference on Advanced Data Mining and Applications (ADMA) 2009. Titled, “Discovery of Migration Habitats and Routes of Wild Bird Species by Clustering and Association Analysis”, the paper describes the use of data mining techniques to analyse the migration patterns of birds, in relation to weather conditions and the spread of infectious diseases.
