The School of Computer Engineering (SCE) is one of six engineering schools in the College of Engineering (CoE). SCE offers seven undergraduate degrees:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering)

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science)

  • Bachelor of Business (Information Technology) and Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science)

[Double degree programme with Nanyang Business School (NBS)].

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Engineering) and Bachelor of Arts in Economics

[Double degree programme]

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics

    [Double honours degree programme]

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science) and Master of Science (Computer Science)

[Integrated Programme with Georgia Institute of Technology]

SCE provides a broad-based foundation for students who aspire to have a rewarding professional career in infocomm and end-user type organizations, IT services, telecommunications, software development, financial services, wholesale and retail trade, manufacturing, etc. Possible career options include consultancy, research and development, project management, sales and marketing and also as technology specialists.

The programmes in the school combine a distinctive blend of theory and practice with critical hands-on experience, project-based learning, and communication and professional skills enhanced through carefully selected industrial attachments. Students may opt for minors in a variety of areas, including business, communication studies and entrepreneurship.

The double degree programmes integrate distinctive elements of two broad disciplines giving graduates greater competitive advantage in today’s globalised business environment.

The integrated programme is designed for students with excellent scholastic abilities and a passion for Computer Science. Students will spend three years at SCE, NTU, building a strong foundation in computing. The next one to one-and-a-half years will be spent at Georgia Tech’s College of Computing, reading graduate-level courses and going into an in-depth study of their chosen specialisations.
