  Nanyang Technopreneurship Center

Degree Programmes and Requirements | Description of Courses

Overview

Nanyang Technopreneurship Center’s vision is to be one of the world’s most influential institutional authorities for education in entrepreneurship and technology innovation. It is currently the Asia-Pacific region’s leading center of excellence for entrepreneurship education.

The Center was established in January 2001, as a multidisciplinary university-level center, through the sponsorship of Nanyang Technological University and the Economic Development Board.

NTC’s mission is to foster, promote and nurture a culture of innovation and technopreneurship through entrepreneurship education. It is strongly committed to the development of technology entrepreneurship within the University and the region, in order to create new business ventures that will provide new engines of growth for Singapore.

The centre’s three-tier vision is:

  • To be a major partner in the nation’s effort to promote and develop a technopreneurial environment leading to a vibrant and thriving sector of high growth technology-oriented companies.
  • To provide students with the best innovation and entrepreneurship education and environment and impart the necessary skills and knowledge for students to become successful 21st century entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs (corporate entrepreneurs).
  • To make NTC the center of competence in the Asia-Pacific region in innovation and entrepreneurship education and industry-related applied research. To make NTC the best organisation and workplace in the Asia-Pacific region for people who are deeply passionate about technopreneurship and innovation.

The fabric of NTC’s working culture is depicted in the illustration below:
