Lecture Hall: SPMS-LT5 (Wednesday and Friday)
Tutorial hour and venue: Friday 1730 - 1830, SPMS-LT5
Course Objective:
This course aims to introduce solid state devices that signify modern technologies and microelectronics industries. These technologies are generally drawn from the physics of semiconductor and magnetism.
a. To understand the physical principles governing the performance of solid state devices.
b. To provide foundation knowledge of the functionality and applications of the devices.
c. To be able to design experiment that uses these devices correctly.
d. To link theory and practice of the course concepts.
Learning Outcomes
The students will understand the fundamental principles of solid state devices, especially semiconductor and spintronics devices. The students will learn the main functionality and applications of the devices; and they will also be able to use these devices correctly in real experiments.
