ITIS–NUSS Tournament 2007
The NTU Staff soccer team competed in two events in this year’s edition of the ITIS-NUSS Tournament: the 11-a-side and the 7-a-side games. This year saw NTU reverse the placings achieved in 2005. We won the 7-a-side and came second to our perennial rival NUSS in the 11-a-side.
7-a-side
The 7-a-side team overpowered SIM 4-1 in the final to clinch the title they had lost on penalties in 2005. Another milestones were Sebastian's first goal ever scored for NTU, Cao Hong's unstoppable scoring streak and Jan's usual ankle injury which stopped him from playing.

Front row and almost-jubilating :-) : Sebastian Wang Wei, Stefan, Robin
11-a-side
The 11-a-side lost 2-0 to NUSS in the final. Unfortunately the team that we beat in the final two years ago got the better of us this time. It was a disappointing result because we had many chances to score and then to equalize when 1-0 down.
However, nothing can take away the fact that 2007 was a very successful and fulfilling year overall and we should be proud of our 1st and 2nd placings.

Friendly games
Contrary to last season, where the team was virtually nonexistent, apart from the ITIS-NUSS games we also played a number of friendly practice games. We played the NTU student team, kept up the pace despite the obvious difference in age :-) and lost only by one goal 3-4. Other games we played were against Coca Cola, Keppel, HP and AIA. These games helped us prepare for the ITIS-NUSS tournament and gave most of the fringe players a chance to play.
As long as the S&RC continue to release the field to us we will endevour to organize more friendly games to build teamwork and camaraderie.
