Accommodation
In order to aid the participants, we have the following four alternatives:
1. Nanyang Executive Centre (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/NEC/Pages/default.aspx): This is located near the conference venue (5 minutes by foot) within the NTU campus. Limited single and double number rooms have been reserved for the participants for the period of the conference. Only bookings between the following dates, Arrival: Sunday, 24 May and Departure: Wednesday, 27 May, will be considered. A standard single room (including breakfast) will cost S$140 per night and double room (incl. breakfast) will cost $195 per night. If you are interested in booking this, please contact the conference secretariat (pbast@ntu.edu.sg). Rooms will be allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
2. RELC, Singapore (http://www.relcih.com.sg/rooms.html): This hotel is located in the city. A limited number of single rooms have been blocked for the conference. Please use the following registration form: (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/pbast/PBAST_RELC.pdf) and email/fax it directly to RELC to avail the conference rates. Alternatively you can also book from their websites.
3. Orchard Parade Hotel, Singapore (www.orchardparade.com.sg): This hotel is located in the city. A limited number of single rooms have been blocked for the conference. Please use the following registration form: (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/pbast/PBAST_OrchardParade.pdf) and email/fax it directly to Orchard Parade to avail the conference rates. Alternatively you can also book from their websites.
4. Other hotels in Singapore: Other hotels can be booked through the
various websites, e.g. www.visitsingapore.com.
Transportation to conference venue:
Free transportation will be provided from RELC and Orchard Parade Singapore to the conference venue. Participants not staying in the above locations can also avail this facility by being present in one of these locations at least 1.5 hours ahead of the starting time of the conference (e.g. If conference starts at 9.30 am, please report at the lobby of the hotels at 8.00 am).
Public transport: You can take the MRT to Boon Lay interchange. From Boon lay interchange you can take Bus 179 (alight at Hall 2), Bus 199 (alight at BLK 41). Tickets can be bought at MRT stations or from the bus captain.
Taxis: Round the clock taxi services are available. Depending on the time of travel, taxi charges can vary. From the city the estimated fare is S$ 25-35. Taxis accept credit cards (surcharge to be paid) and Singapore currency.
Accompanying Person
Participants may bring along accompanying persons who will participate only in the social events. The fee for one accompanying person is S$ 200.00. The accompanying person package will include the conference banquet and social event.
Visa
Please check with the Immigrations and Checkpoint Authority of Singapore (website: http://www.ica.gov.sg) for information regarding visa requirements. Kindly note that a confirmed registration is required to issue an invitation letter.
