College of Science

Overview

At the College of Science, interdisciplinary research is strongly encouraged, since it is the interface between the life, physical and mathematical sciences, and engineering, medical and social sciences that provides the conditions for major breakthroughs in knowledge and innovation. We also forge strategic collaborations with leading universities, institutions, research centres and industries from all over the world to ensure our relevance on the global scene as we help to transform Singapore into a knowledge-intensive economy. These partnerships are fostered in part through scholarships and joint PhD research studies.

The College of Science comprises the School of Biological Sciences, founded in 2002, and the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences, founded in 2005. The College of Science boasts the best of building and laboratory design, infrastructure, equipment and facilities for creative pursuit of academic and research excellence in chemistry, math, physics, earth sciences and biology. Our faculty are drawn from the best researchers in Singapore and around the globe and provide for world-class learning and research experiences to graduates.
