Language and Communication Centre

If language and communication are the tools essential for learning, then the Language and Communication Centre is where these tools are fashioned and made ready for use. The Centre, which is part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, designs courses to help NTU’s undergraduates and graduates sharpen these tools of learning. Its courses combine theory with hands-on practice, including group work and interaction, to allow for a lively exchange of ideas.

The following courses are offered to graduates:

• A language course to help graduate students cope with the demands of using English at a tertiary level.
• A course to equip teaching assistants with useful methods and strategies to teach in small groups.

The Centre also administers the English Proficiency Test to graduates at the point of recruitment.
