Dates: July 1st - 6th, 2026

Ettore Majorana Foundation & Centre for Scientific Culture (EMFCSC), Erice, Sicily.

Hyperuniformity represents a new paradigm for understanding order and fluctuations in complex systems, bridging the worlds of crystals, quasicrystals, glasses, and driven non-equilibrium matter. This workshop, held at the Ettore Majorana Foundation and Centre for Scientific Culture (EMFCSC) in Erice, Sicily, will bring together scientists from physics, materials science, and related disciplines to explore how hyperuniform states emerge, evolve, and can be engineered. Through lectures, discussions, and poster sessions, the event will highlight recent theoretical, computational, and experimental advances, and foster new interdisciplinary collaborations aimed at uncovering the universal principles governing fluctuation suppression across nature and technology.

This workshop is honored by the support of the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Foundation and Ettore Majorana Foundation & Centre for Scientific Culture!
