Dr.
Choi Look LAW received his BEng. and PhD. degrees from King’s
College, London in 1983 and 1987 respectively. From 1986 to 1988,
he was a senior research engineer at ERA technology in UK. He joined
the school of EEE, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 1988
where he is currently an Associate Professor.
He was the founding director of the Positioning and Wireless Technology Centre in 2000.
His research interests are in digital beam forming array antenna,
ultra-wideband microwave circuits, wideband channel
characterization and modeling, radio frequency identification,
wireless networking and positioning systems.
He co-founded RFNET (now a Panasonic subsidiary) in 2001 specializing in wireless LAN and RFID products and services.
He has given numerous continuing educational courses to
industries and acted as consultant to a number of companies and
government agencies.
He has published over 210 international conference and journal papers with over 2200 citations in Scopus and
over 3600 citations in Google Scholar with H-index = 27.
He has held visiting assignments at Kyoto University, Japan, Surrey University, United Kingdom
and Lehigh University, USA. Dr. Law is a Senior Member of IEEE.
