Last month, the world convened at Copenhagen to decide the fate of our planet. Bringing to the negotiating table a pledge of 16% cut in emissions business-as-usual trajectories by 2020, Singapore has made clear its commitment to curbing climate change. In recent years, the Singapore government has pushed forth significant policies and legislation aimed at reducing the carbon intensity of the country. What do these changes mean for businesses and how can companies keep in sync with Singapore's National Climate Change Strategy? 2010 is the year of social capitalism. Give your business a head start to the year by attending the first of the Harvard Singapore Foundation lectures. Join us as we talk about how climate change can be about opportunities as much as a threat.

Every year, the recurring haze that shroud Singapore's skies are largely a result of forest fires and farmers engaging in slash and burn agriculture. The Burning Season touches upon an issue close to our hearts, and explains the innovative solution that carbon trading has to offer. This is an award winning documentary that has been nominated at the New York Tribeca Festival 2009, Sydney Film Festival 2009, an EMMY award for Oustanding Documentary on a Business Topic, as well as the prestigious Gold Panda award at the Sichuan TV Festival. It was also been broadcasted on major television channels worldwide (PBS WideAngle, BBC, ABC Australia etc).
