The Humanities refer to a range of disciplines that involve the study of how people understand and explain the human experience. In essence, they further our comprehension of what it means to be human.

In NTU, students may major in one of the following disciplines in the humanities; Chinese, English, History, Linguistics and Multilingual Studies and Philosophy.

The social sciences are a range of disciplines that analyse human society and social relationships. Students who plan to study the social sciences in NTU may choose from four disciplines, Economics, Psychology, Public Policy and Global Affairs and Sociology.
