IMPORTANT

 

1.

e-IIP package consists of the following three items.  Please print copies for your own use:

 

   

Reference Information and Rules & Procedures during IIP
(for your information and compliance for the whole IIP period)

 

Programme Form - Part II [DPA/30/PAP (Part II)]
(please present this form to your supervisor and request him/her to fill up the form.  You are required to submit the completed form to your NTU Faculty Supervisor by 25 July 2014.)

 

2.

The Log Book for Engineering Attachment & Science Internship for use during IIP is on sale at the Yun Nan Book Store (NTU). Please get a copy of it before the commencement of IIP. Please refer to the Reference Information and Rules & Procedures during IIP in StudentLink for guidelines on the use of logbook.

 

3.

Each student will be supervised by a Professor from your School (known as NTU Faculty Supervisor) during the IIP.  The assignment of NTU Faculty Supervisor will be released by the 3rd week of IIP.  Email will be sent to students when the information is available.

 

4.

There will be a briefing on attachment before the commencement of IIP.

The briefing will cover general administrative matters during IIP, Assessment System and Professional behaviour. You are advised
to attend the briefing.

You are also advised to check the Student Affairs Office’s notice on Additional Coverage for Industrial Internship Programme under the Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme.

 

6.

Please note that students are discouraged to take leave during attachment/internship and must complete the stipulated period of internship in order to meet the course requirements. Students who need to go on leave must submit special leave application via the "Special Leave Application and Submission of Medical Certificate during Attachment/Internship" in StudentLink at least 14 days in advance. All special leave will be approved with extension, subject to joint approval based on exigency of service and agreement on the extension by the attachment/internship organisation and NTU. You should not go on leave until approval from NTU has been conveyed to you.

 

7.

Please note that for organisation that engages the IIP student's service before/beyond the official IIP period, it will be solely between the student and his/her IIP organisation. It will NOT be counted towards the IIP requirements. It will be considered as vacation job / part-time employment for the student.

Please also note that the Public Liability Policy and the additional coverage for IIP students under the Group Personal Insurance Policy will not be covered outside the official IIP period.

 

8.

Students are to adhere to the official period of IIP. You are required to complete your internship until 6 December 2014 or the extended date specified in the student's leave approval letter / email from the Office of Academic Services or the re-assignment letter / email from our office. No early release will be allowed.

 

9.

Students who have registered for IIP for Semester 1 AY 2014/2015 are not to register for any subjects in Semester 1 AY 2014/2015.

 

10.
