Professional Attachment in Hong Kong
Chia Hiu Chong, ACC 3

1997 was my most eventful and memorable schooling year as I was given the chance to go back to Hong Kong for Professional Attachment.  As a Hongkonger, I am indeed very grateful to have the opportunity to take part in the historic handover of Hong Kong.
During the attachment period, I was exposed to various types of Hong Kong auditing practices and culture which are extremely valuable for my future career development.  My work is respected and cherished.

Unavoidably, mistakes were made during the auditing process due to lack of relevant experience. However, mistakes were tolerated and I was patiently guided by the friendly and approachable colleagues there.

Most importantly, I could enjoy the warmth of being back home. Sincere thanks and gratitude should be extended to OPA for granting me an opportunity to broaden my horizon by working in the Pearl of the Orient - Hong Kong.
