A memento is awarded to each of the organisations which have continuously supported NTU’s Industrial Attachment programme for the past fifteen years.
The ten-year memento is made from Plexiglass and is in the form of two panels. The back trapezoidal panel represents the organisation. The highest point of the trapezium represents the pinnacle of excellence of the organisation. The front panel represents the students participating in the IA programme. The curve represents the students striving to reach the pinnacle of excellence of the organisation. The closeness of the two panels signifies the close partnership between the organisation and NTU in the IA programme.
The fifteen-year memento retains the same form of the ten year memento except for broadening and strengthening of its “base of cooperation” which has been as signified by the square marble base. The triangular plate represents the three happy partnership comprising the organisation, the university and the student forming the happy partnership.
These
mementos are designed by Mr Leong Kah Fai from the School of Mechanical
& Production Engineering.
