Belinda Chng is Research Fellow at the Centre for Non-Traditional Security (NTS) Studies, Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She coordinates the Food Security Programme and facilitates project development and grant development, as well as advises on strategic planning and outreach within the Centre. Previously, as Programme Manager, she led the project management and administration teams, oversaw coordination of five research programmes and managed a range of projects funded by government and private foundations. She was formerly Associate Research Fellow in the Centre as well as Research Analyst at the International Center for Political Violence and Terrorism Research.

Prior to her current role, Belinda was Policy Advisor at the APEC Policy Support Unit, APEC Secretariat, where she advised the Unit on strategic planning, mandate extension, outreach and engagement of APEC stakeholders, development of research capacity, and conducted research on emergency preparedness and food security. Her interests are in the areas of human security in ASEAN, food security, crisis preparedness, conflict prevention and management, state-society relations and governance. Belinda holds a Master of Science in International Relations from RSIS, NTU, Singapore, and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University, Canberra.
