The National Institute of Education (NIE) has made this possible by ensuring that our undergraduates are equipped with high-quality skills, knowledge and values that will mould them into top-notch educators. We have been providing initial teacher preparation and continual teacher professional development for the past 70 years. Our emphasis on educational research has prepared both teachers and students to adapt to a rapid and ever-evolving educational landscape. 

The NIE also runs the Sport Science & Management (SSM) Programme. The SSM programme was established in 2009 in response to an increasing need for qualified sport professionals who are well-equipped with the relevant skills and knowledge to support the growing sport industry in Singapore and Asia. The programme attracts passionate undergraduate students who want to pursue their interest and careers in the fields of sport science and sport management
