An active sporting calendar and ample opportunities for recreation form an integral part of the NTU experience.
Competitive sports The serious athlete may vie to represent NTU in one of some 45 sports at the Singapore Universities Games, the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic Games, local leagues, or regional and international competitions. They may also work towards representing Singapore and the University in the World University Games and the ASEAN University Games.
Sports exchanges Besides competitions, students may also bring their sport to a higher level through sports exchanges with overseas universities.
Re’kre-at NTU For pure recreation, students may join regular group exercise sessions or indulge in their favourite sport under the Re’kre-at NTU programme.
Pretty Tuff Pretty Tuff is a programme specially geared towards encouraging ladies at NTU to exercise. For a nominal membership fee each semester, students can enjoy exercise programmes such as yoga, pilates and kickboxing.
Healthy lifestyle Members of the university can look forward to a host of health and fitness events, quizzes and talks, all of which are organised by the Healthy Lifestyle Unit.
Students’ Sports Club Students drive the active sporting lifestyle at NTU, managing for themselves, 21 sports sub-clubs.
Facilities The Sports and Recreation Centre administers the use of a comprehensive range of indoor and outdoor sports facilities and the loan of equipment, as well as renders first-aid assistance for minor injuries.
