If language and communication are the tools essential for learning, then the Language and Communication Centre is where these tools are fashioned and made ready for use. The Centre, which is part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, designs courses to help NTU students sharpen these tools of learning. Our courses combine theory with hands-on practice, including group work and interaction, to allow for the lively exchange of ideas.

GER-Core
- Writing courses that help students craft their text and master the art of writing as would professionals in their disciplines.
- Communication skills courses that help students communicate effectively in different contexts, including the workplace.
GER-UE
- European language courses in French, German and Spanish at different levels to prepare students for a dynamic global education.
- Asian language courses in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Malay and Thai at different levels to help students integrate into the growing Asian business and cultural environment.
Foundation
Language courses that help students to cope with the demands of using English at the tertiary level.
