The following terms and conditions are excerpts from the Subscription License Agreement.
 

TERMS OF USE

1. The Digital Images (of the [Records of the Colonial Office, Commonwealth and Foreign and Commonwealth Offices, Empire Marketing Board, and related bodies]) are solely for study, teaching and research by the university staff and student body. The Digital Images shall not be published outside of the Intranet nor shall they be used for any other purpose.

2. All intellectual property rights in the Digital Images and the underlying records (and any adaptation thereof) shall remain with The National Archives. Nanyang Technological University hereby assigns to The National Archives with full title guarantee and where appropriate by way of present assignment of future rights, any intellectual property rights arising in the Digital Images with effect from 28 Nov 2013 or, if later, the date on which such rights come into existence and shall procure the assignment of copyright by any maker employed or otherwise contracted to Nanyang Technological University who may acquire such rights by operation of law or otherwise.

3. Nanyang Technological University should cite The National Archives’ document references in all Intranet pages which either use the Digital Images or publish text transcribed from the Digital Images, in accordance with The National Archives’ citation guidelines, published at:  http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/records/citing-documents.htm
