• Aug. 2001-Dec. 2003: Assigned as a trainer and supervisor in Research and Training Program (RTP) funded by the Economic and Development Board (EDB) of Singapore. I supervised 4 RTP students coming from China working on two IME’s core projects. One project is on the analog Filter and VGA design, the other one is on the direct conversion RF transceiver chipset design.
• Jan. 2003-Now: Supervised 6 M.E. students (full-time) working on three IME core projects funded by NUS-IME joint Microelectronics LAB (JML) program. Co-supervised another part-time master student on WCDMA transceiver design.
• Jan, 2005-Now, Supervise/Co-supervise 6 Ph.D. students (full-time) on UWB transceiver IC design project. Among them, 4 graduated.
• Sep, 2006-Sep. 2007, supervise 2 A*STAR AGS Ph.D. scholar attachment (from NTU)

Teaching Achievements

· Starting from 2015, has been developing the Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) video for EE2002 (second year core subject)

· Awarded 5 PhD and 5 MEng Scholarship funded by EDB/industry (total S$ ~1.2M).

· Two of my former Ph.D. students were awarded ‘National Scholarship for Outstanding Self-financed Chinese PhD Students’ at 2014 and 2015 respectively.

· A FYP student, supervised by me, published a journal paper as the first author and was awarded URECA Journal Publication Award. 

· Dr Gao received Springer Thesis Award 2016.

· Two of my former Ph.D. students got faculty positions
