Science Research Programme student (Karthik) from Raffles Institution Won
an Individual Gold Medal at Singapore Science and Engineering Fair (SEEF) 2013

The yearly SEEF competition is organized by MOE and A*STAR. Mr. Karthik (second from left)’s
winning research project, awarded from a total of 289 projects, was on Microbial Engineering for
Bioenergy and under the supervision of Professor William Chen. Karthik is now an undergraduate
student at NUS Medical School.

15. Dr. Tan Yi Lin Jane graduated as BEng (ChemEng) in 2010. She joined
    the lab in 2010 and received her PhD degree in 2014 on a NTU Graduate
    Scholarship (Imperial College-NTU joint PhD programme). She is now a
    Technical Expert with Waters, Singapore.
    
    





16. Ms. Laleh Sadrolodabaee earned her B.Sc. in Medical Sciences
    from Isfaran University, Iran. She joined the lab in September 2009
    on an A*STAR SINGA Scholarship. She received her PhD degree in 2014 and is now a research scientist with Southern University of California.
    
    



17. Mr. Benedict Lee Jia Hong earned his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering
    from NTU. He received his MEng in 2013 on a Nanyang President Graduate Scholarship.
    He is now with the Health Science Authority of Singapore.
    
    



18. Mr. Tan Kee Yang earned his B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from NTU.
    He joined the lab in September 2010 on a NTU Graduate Scholarship, and
    received his PhD degree in 2015. He is now a professional in private sector.
    
    







19. Ms. Tang Xiaoling earned her B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Zhejiang University. She joined the lab in August 2010 on
    an NTU Graduate Scholarship. She received her PhD degree in 2015, and is now an Associate Professor with ZJUT in China.
    
    







20. Ms. Shi Jiahua earned her B.Eng. in Biotechnology from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She joined the lab in September 2010 on a NTU Graduate Scholarship. She received her PhD degree in 2015, and is now a Research Fellow with NTU Food Technology Center
    
    







21. Dr. Feng Xuesong joined the lab in 2008 on NTU Research Scholarship.
    He received his PhD degree in 2013, and is now a Lecturer at Xian Jiaotong University.

26. Dr. Lee Jie Lin Jaslyn earned her B. Sc. (Hons)
    in Biomedical Sciences from Monash University in 2008.
    After a three-year stint as a Research Officer at the Institute
    of Medical Biology (A*STAR), she joined the lab in 2012
    on a NTU Interdisciplinary Graduate School (IGS) research scholarship. She received her PhD degree in 2016.
    
    





 

27. Dr. Liu Ting earned her B.Sc. from Nankai University. She joined the lab in 2014 on a NTU Interdisciplinary
    Graduate School (IGS) research scholarship. She received her PhD in 2016 and is now an entrepreneur in China
    
    
    
    
    
28. Ms. Sachindra Cooray earned her B.Eng. (Chem Eng) from
    University of Moratuwa (Sri Lanka). She joined the lab in 2014
    on a NTU Interdisciplinary Graduate School (IGS) research scholarship.
    
    
    
    
    
29. Mr. Low Tiong Keng William. He earned his BEng (Eletrical & Electronic)
    from NUS, and received his MSc (Biomed. Eng) from NTU in 2012.
    He is now a student with Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School.
    
    
    
    
    
    
30. Ms. Toh Shi Hui earned her B. Sc. in Chemistry (NUS)
    in 2010. She joined the lab in 2012 and received her
    M.Eng. (Chemical Engineering) in 2014.
