Abstract
Technology Computer-Aided Design (TCAD) tools have gained ever-increasing importance in the design and manufacture of semiconductor products. The use of modern TCAD systems has become an integral part of technology development at most semiconductor companies.
In this project, the students will have a chance to use the state-of-the-art
TCAD tools to characterize modern high-speed semiconductor and optoelectronic
devices, such as DC characteristics, AC and transient analyses, parameter
extraction for circuit simulation. The exposure to these modern tools
and the experience gained through the project will be very useful in real-life
applications.
