Abstract
This project is directed towards the development and implementation
of semi-empirical models for the design and optimization of submicron MOSFET's.
The objective is to link device performance parameters (such as saturation
and leakage currents) to process variables, which can provide a guide to
technology development and transistor optimization. From the project,
knowledge in advanced transistor design as well as relevant industrial
experience will be gained.
