TCAD-Synthesis Approach to Deep-Submicron MOSFET Design and Optimization

Abstract

This project is directed towards the development and implementation of a synthesis approach to the design and optimization of submicron MOSFET’s based on extensive simulation of wafer fabrication and transistor characterization.  The objective is to link device performance parameters to process variables, which can provide a guide to technology developers and circuit designers.  State-of-the-art technology CAD (TCAD) tools will be used.  From the project, knowledge in advanced transistor design as well as relevant industrial experience will be gained.
