Abstract

This project is directed towards implementation of a unified compact model for deep-submicron (DSM) MOSFET's in a mixed-mode circuit simulator. Advances in the VLSI technology have witnessed the importance of the well-known SPICE circuit simulator as well as the industry-standard BSIM model. In the DSM era, new models, approaches, and paradigms are required to meet the new challenges. This project aims to develop a unified circuit simulation environment, in which system performance (at the block, gate, or transistor levels) can be related to true process variables. Successful implementation of such a framework will be a first step towards bridging the technology developers and circuit designers.
