Laboratories are essential components in all engineering and science programmes. Not only do laboratories demonstrate course concepts and ideas, they also bring the theory alive so students can see how unexpected events and natural phenomena affect real-world measurements and control algorithms. However, equipping and maintaining laboratories require significant resources. Thus, our goal is to set up a network of web-based laboratories for the purpose of developing, packaging and delivering high-quality laboratory education and training materials to students anytime and anywhere. An important emphasis in this project is to develop a scalable and reusable OnlineLab system with the necessary administrative and e-learning management support so that the OnlineLab could be deployed in an institutional environment.

We are constantly looking for suitable candidates (Final year projects, MSc/M.Eng projects) to work on the various components related to the project. If you enjoy software development, LabVIEW, C/C++, Java programming, Linux/Perl/MySQL, or even building simple electronic gadgets, you may find something interesting to do here.
