Microwave

Microwave is one of the radio frequency waves that have frequency range of 1GHz to 111GHz. The microwave frequency spectrum covers the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band, range of 0.3 GHz to 3 GHz, Super High Frequency (SHF) band, range of 3 GHz to 30 GHz and Extremely High Frequency (EHF) band, range of 30 GHz to 300 GHz.

Applications

Applications of microwave can be classified into four categories: communication, navigation, sensor and heating.

The Need to Use Microwave

The low frequency portion of radio frequency spectrum has become extremely crowded.  To solve this problem, higher frequency portion is being used.
