Research Fellow / Associate / Project Officer

 

We have an ongoing R&D project which has immediate openings for RF/RA/PO.

 

The project personnel will handle algorithmic/programming/data collection aspects in the project “Core-Attachment based Mining for Protein Complexes & Small-molecule Interactions” in the field of Bioinformatics.

 

Successful candidate should have suitable background and experience in software engineering, including but not limited to requirement/specifications, program developments, maintenance, etc. The person should collaborate cordially and professionally with team members, and be fully responsible for the assigned tasks.

 

Requirements

·         For Research Fellow, a Ph.D. degree, preferably in bioinformatics/machine learning/data mining/algorithms, or relevant areas.

·         For Research Associate, a Master degree, and for Project Officer, a Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related areas.

·         Good communication skills, written and oral English

·         Excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilities and problem solving skills.

·         Excellent command of C/C++

·         Knowledge on data mining/machine learning/statistics

·         Knowledge in unix and scripting languages are preferred

·         Knowledge on data analysis tools, like R, Matlab is preferred

·         Familiar with grid and cluster programming is also preferred
