Asst/P Jung Younbo (Co-PI) conducts research
on interpersonal and socio-psychological effects of interactive media such as
video games, virtual reality, and human-robot interaction, and their medical
and educational applications. Dr.
Jung worked
at two of the leading media labs in the U.S. (MIND Lab at Michigan State
University and Haptics and Virtual Environments Lab
at the University of Southern California) and has successfully collaborated on
many interdisciplinary research projects, including National Institutes of Health (NIH) Roadmap Initiative grant (# P20
RR20700-01: US$ 1.8 million) for Neuroplasticity
and Stroke Rehabilitation and the Integrated
Media Systems Center, a National Science Foundation (NSF) Engineering Research
Center (# EEC-9529152). His
work has appeared in International
Journal of Human Computer Studies, Journal of NeuroEngineering and Rehabilitation, Journal
of Cultural and Evolutionary Psychology, Discourse and Communication, and proceedings of CHI and
IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and
Communications Workshop.
