Our interdisciplinary bioengineering laboratory integrates nanotechnology, biophysics, chemistry, materials science, and biomedicine to develop innovative technologies for understanding, sensing, and modulating biological systems.
We integrate advanced nanomaterials, biointerfaces, molecular and cellular engineering, and emerging sensing technologies to create biosensors, bioelectronic devices, diagnostic and theranostic platforms, and tools for probing biological processes. By bringing together engineering principles with fundamental biology, we aim to observe and interrogate complex biological systems with exceptional spatial, temporal, and molecular precision—from tissues and living cells down to the single-cell and single-molecule levels.
We believe that the convergence of engineering, physical sciences, and life sciences opens new opportunities not only to uncover fundamental biological mechanisms, but also to translate these insights into next-generation technologies for precision diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy.
