Remark | : |
The flu vaccine protects
against 4 strains of the most commonly circulating influenza virus that
is predominant in the world. This includes protection against the H1N1 virus
that is still the most common influenza strain in Singapore. Flu typically
causes high fever, lethargy, headache, body ache, and sore throat. The flu
vaccine is recommended for those 65 years and above whose immunity against
infection is generally weaker, and for anyone else whether travelling or
otherwise, who wants to be protected against this very common and easily
transmissible airborne disease. The recommended frequency of flu vaccination
is once a year, due in part to the changing strains of flu virus every year.
This flu vaccine covers for Northern Hemisphere influenza season. |
