E-waste Recycling

Come do your part for the environment by bringing your unwanted electrical or electronic devices to ECHO Friday E-waste Recycling.

What is e-waste?

E-waste is electrical and electronic equipment of any kind that has been discarded. It includes practically anything powered by an electrical source. Some typical e-waste includes: computers, mobile phones, printers, tablets, TVs, refrigerators, toasters, electronic toys, batteries, etc.

Why recycle e-waste?

Electrical/electronic devices contain toxic/carcinogenic substances that include lead, mercury, cadmium, beryllium, polyvinyl chloride, and chromium. When e-waste is tossed into landfills, these chemicals leach into the soil, polluting the ground water as well as the air. By recycling e-waste, we:
•  Protect human and environmental health
•  Help to conserve our earth’s precious natural resources

How do I participate in this e-waste recycling event?
Starting from 21 to 30 October 2019, you can drop off your e-waste at the various collection points around NTU Residential Halls. Alternatively, you may bring your e-waste to ECHO Friday on 1 November 2019 at North Spine, LT1A Foyer.

When you bring 2 or more items to recycle, you will receive 1 collapsible water bottle* (limited to 1 per person, whilst stocks last) as a token of appreciation.

Collection Points from 21 – 30 October 2019, 9.00 am to 4.00 pm
(excluding weekends and public holiday)

You can register and drop off 2 or more of your e-wastes at any of these locations but collection of collapsible  bottle will be done on the actual ECHO Friday (1-Nov-2019) at North Spine LT 1A Foyer.
