Prof. Rong Wang is a Full Professor and Chair in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She also holds the position of Director, Singapore Membrane Technology Centre (SMTC). She is the founding President of Membrane Society in Singapore (MEMSIS).

Prof. Wang has over 25 years of experience in Chemical Engineering, Water & Environment and Energy related research and innovation, with specialization in Membrane Science and Technology. She has over 220 SCI publications (cited times: >8400, h-index: 52 @ Web of Science). She is the inventor of 24 patents/ technical disclosures for novel membrane fabrication. Prof. Wang is an Editor of Journal of Membrane Science and on the editorial board of Desalination. She was featured among the top 25 leading water researchers globally by Lux Research 2013. She won a prestigious award, “the Alternative Water Resources Prize” under the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water (PSIPW) in 2016 at the UN Headquarters in New York.
