The Art of Managing People (SFC) 


This modular programme provides practice in the skills which every assistant manager must have in order to achieve personal success. Participants will become more aware of their own managerial and leadership styles and throughout the programme will be engaged in exercises that pinpoint their strengths and bring to light opportunities for development and improvement. Interactive activities take them through the full spectrum of management activities ranging from leading successful teams, time management, managing change, running meetings, managing conflict etc. 


At the end of this programme participants will be able to:

Ms Ernest, Madeline

Madeline Ernest s a senior consultant and has more than 10 years of experience in education and in-house training. Madeline has a varied and exciting career path. She started as an educator. After which, she made the exciting leap into the world of advertising and brand communications where she chalked up 14 years of valuable experience at renowned global agencies working on prestigious international brands, including Visa International, Samsung and adidas. She left the world of advertising in 2009 to purse an MBA at James Cook University (Singapore).
The ability to engage, influence and inspire comes easily to Madeline as its part of her DNA. One of Madeline’s key responsibilities in the advertising agency was to mentor junior staff new to the business; hence she nurtured her ability to connect with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Madeline has facilitated training sessions on a wide spectrum of topics, which broadly fall into the cluster areas of Branding, Communication and Effectiveness.
Madeline is an enthusiastic and creative trainer. Madeline incorporates hands on activities and experiential exercises that support accelerated learning. She has trained senior management and non-executive staff alike and is able to pitch the content accordingly.

Replacement Policy

Given a 3 days notice before course commencement, companies may replace participants who have signed up for the course. Terms and conditions apply.


There is no replacement for participant utilising SkillsFuture Credit. Participant to cancel their SkillsFuture Credit claim with WDA.
