This is where Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) professionals comes into play. WSH professionals undertake various roles to create a conducive environment for us to work in. Let us explore some of the key roles involved:

Planning and Implementing WSH Management System
Each workplace has a different environment and to plan a relevant WSH management system, WSH professionals will need to identify the standards and regulations that applies. From there, they will work on developing strategies that helps to mitigate WSH risks.

Implementing Operational Control of WSH Issues
It takes more than just WSH professionals’ efforts to maintain workplace safety. One of the key roles of WSH professionals is to develop a set of operational controls and educate employees on WSH risk management safety procedures.

Checking and Addressing WSH Issues

The work of a WSH professional doesn’t just end after implementation of the systems and controls. They must continuously measure and evaluate the effectiveness of their system and identify areas of improvement. Only by continuously improving their system, can they ensure that their WSH system remains effective over time.
