Highlights of the week:
For more career opportunities from various industries, please
access Career Axis. Dear Students, The exams are about to be over! As summer break fast approaches,
some of you may be going for internships or intend to catch up on your
hobbies, upskill beyond your course of study, go on vacations and so on. No
matter what plans you have made, we hope you will enjoy a fulfilling and
well-deserved break! Meanwhile, for students from the Graduating Class of 2023 who
will soon be embarking on your next exciting adventure post-graduation, be
sure to join us at the NTU Virtual GradRecruit 2023! Being the
last recruitment fair specifically organised for final year students during
each academic year, participating employers for this fair are those actively
searching for graduating students who can fill their immediate positions! Open to all final year students over a 1-week period from 15
to 21 May 2023, you can expect to meet over 210 participating
companies from 17 industries with close to 4,500 full-time career
opportunities! Please click here for the list of
participating companies, their latest available job opportunities and the
type of disciplines they are keen to meet/hire through this event. Login to setup your profile today!
1) It is a week-long fully
virtual event. 2) This time, students
will be getting the limelight through School categorisation at the
virtual Exhibition Hall! 3) Employers will be able
to search for you under your School – to view and shortlist you for suitable
positions. They will also be able to search through various student-centric
filters such as your course of study or preferred industry sectors,
companies, and job functions. So, by setting up a full profile will help
increase your odds at appearing in various employers’ searches for suitable
candidates! 4) Employers can “tag” a
student and “save” for review later. 5) Students will receive
a notification if any employer is keen to reach out for further chats or
interviews offline (not through the platform). 6) Students will also be
able to see the list of participating companies and apply to the various
available job opportunities within the platform.
Pre-event 1) Start creating your
profile under ‘My Account’ early so that you are prepared before the event
starts on 15 May! Don’t wait till the last minute! 2) Prepare your resume now
and get all ready when the portal is open for uploading! 3) If you require
guidance on utilising the virtual platform, please click access the Students’
Guide via http://www3.ntu.edu.sg/cao3/GradRecruit/StudentGuide.pdf During the event 1) If you receive a
notification from an employer, please respond to him/her promptly. Do not
ignore the notification or wait for a few days to respond – avoid losing a
valuable job opportunity to others! 2) It is very important
to beef up your resume and create a good profile. The better the profile, the
better your chances of getting noticed and invited for interview! 3) Keep an open mind to
various kinds of employers and jobs, especially when employers reach out to
you. Don’t rush to reject, take some time to chat with employer and
understand more about the nature of the job. 4) Besides waiting for
employers to reach out to you, you can also leave a message to employers whom
you are keen to chat with.
Start preparing your resumes and seek advice from our professional
Career Coaches or Career Consultants on ways to increase your appeal in front
of employers, such as polishing up your resume and interview skills. Learn more about how you can prepare for this event via: https://www3.ntu.edu.sg/cao3/GradRecruit/CareerPreparation.pdf We look forward to seeing all of you at NTU Virtual GradRecruit
