For more career opportunities from various industries, please
access Career Axis. Dear Students, Here at NTU Career and Attachment Office,
we have commonly observed the above doubts and career concerns. But don’t
worry! We have got you covered. Take that one step closer to your desired
company as we bring a suite of recruitment events to you. Directly clarify
your concerns with employers, gain insights and satiate all your curiosity in
a conducive setting. Attending recruitment events get you a step
ahead of your peers, especially in the Banking and Fintech industry. If you
are still unsure, here are 3 reasons why you should participate:
Is coding important to join the fintech industry? Besides
coding, what are other career options for engineering students? Hear from the
Lead Engineer of London Stock Exchange Group on 16 March 2023 as he shares
with you on the road ahead – life after computer science. Don’t miss the
sharing on their valuable experiences of the various available roles, from
Full Stack or DevOps Engineer, to specialised roles like Data Science,
Machine Learning and Cyber Security. Learn about the must-have T-shaped
skillset to thrive and progress in this industry too.
How can you set foot in the door before
anyone else? Attend and network at recruitment talks, especially sessions by
the companies that you are keen to join! This way, you can get access to
insider tips of the application process and clarify any queries with the
hiring managers who have dedicated time and resources to share their
knowledge with you. This is also the chance for you to connect with
industry’s veterans. Participate in a 3-day Banking Connections
Program at Bank of America from 21 to 23 March. Gain insights into the
different lines of business for which they are hiring, meet their senior
leaders and recent graduate joiners, make new friends, and collaborate on
case studies and projects. Best of all, you may get the chance to be fast
tracked into the application process for their 2024 summer internships too.
What are the available internship and job
opportunities relevant to students across the different years and
disciplines, especially yours? Hear about the opportunities first hand, some
advertised and some yet to be advertised. Get first dibs to
this information because you made the commitment and effort to attend the
recruitment talk. The chance is within your grasp. Interested in tech opportunities? Morgan
Stanley is recognised as one of the top 10 most attractive employers in the
IT sector. Attend this technology insights recruitment talk by Morgan Stanley
at NTU on 13 March – Learn how to apply your technical knowledge to make an
