Axis. Dear Students, Welcome back from
recess week! The campus has been bustling with activities since the start of
semester and we hope it has been eventful for you too. Amidst the myriad of
campus activities, have you had the time to think about what’s next after
completing your degree? If you had attended
Job-In Fair a month ago, perhaps it gave you the chance to network and learn
more about different sectors, companies, and job functions that are or may be
of interest to you. There are many of you who are eager to break into the
tech sector after graduation considering it is one of the hottest fields that
offer promising opportunities for growth. With how fast the tech industry is
growing, are you aware of the different tech areas and entry points for fresh
graduates? Regardless of whether
you’re a STEM or non-STEM student, or even if joining the tech industry has
never crossed your mind because you don’t feel “tech” enough, fret not as what
I’m about to share next can still apply to you! Introducing the ICT
Navigation tool What is it you might be
wondering.. The ICT Navigation tool allows you to
delve deeper into the different track/specialization of your interest while
providing a good overview of the sector. There is a plethora of opportunities
within the tech industry, and this include roles for non-STEM students. Start
exploring the various specialisations within ICT through 7 different tracks: (1) Data and
Artificial Intelligence, (2) Infrastructure, (3) Software and Applications,
(4) Strategy and Governance, (5) Operations
and Support, (6) Cyber Security, and (7) Sales and Marketing. This tool not only
allows you to find out more about different type of job roles, it also covers down to the details of responsibilities,
skills and competencies required for each role – It is pretty much your ICT
career exploration encyclopedia. There will surely
be a role for you in this industry, so long as you’re prepared to stretch
your capabilities and prove your worth. Begin
your ICT Navigation here! Looking for a career
in ICT or interested to find out more about a particular role? Book a
