Purna, winner of several international physics Olympiads, is now with Temasek Laboratories (TL@NTU) giving high-level research in fentosecond lasers his best shot

Scholars of 2009
Purnawirman, a student at School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences is one of the scholars for the graduating 2009 batch. He graduated with first class honours and on the Dean's list. NTU had given him a well-rounded education. Being a hall resident enhanced Purmawirman's stay in Singapore. During his time in NTU, he participated in block and inter-hall games and attended the International Conference for Physics Students in Poland.

When asked what is his secret of his success, he cited, I try to do my very best in every aspect of my life, I believe that when people give their best effort to something, they will naturally be rewarded. With this principle, hard work and perseverance become a part of us.

Purnawirman's future plans are to continue to do more research in NTU while applying for higher degree studies at NTU and MIT.
