Offering NRP as H3 Science Research
JC1 students who will be taking the GCE ‘A’ Level Examinations in JC2 can opt to convert their NRP Enrichment project to an H3 Science Research project. Only projects in Categories 1 to 4 can be converted to NTU H3 Science Research. This is subject to endorsement from the student’s school as well as the NRP Supervisor.
Students are to indicate their decision to offer the project as H3 Science Research upon application for NRP. Students will be asked to confirm their decision to continue offering the project as H3 Science Research in June / July and will be given formal confirmation / approval in August. An application fee of S$60 will apply once an acceptance of the confirmation has been received.
Students who withdraw from H3 Science Research after the withdrawal period will forfeit the application fee. Students will also have “Ungraded” reflected on their ‘A’ Level certificate under H3 Science Research. Students may however opt to continue with their project under NRP Enrichment even after having withdrawn from H3 Science Research.
Students who opt to do H3 Science Research will be awarded a GCE ‘A’ Level grade certified by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB). The H3 Science Research grade will only be made known during the release of GCE ‘A’ Level results the following year.
Applications for NRP 2012 have closed. Conversion from NRP Enrichment to H3 Science Research will occur in July / August 2012.
