Our Academic Unit system in NTU incorporates the American credit system. As a student, you are required to take a prescribed core of essential subjects, but you have the flexibility in the choice of electives.
The academic year is divided into two semesters. Generally you will take different subjects in each semester, to earn more “Academic Units”. The semester system facilitates industrial attachments and professional internships. Exams are given at the end of the semester, after which students go on vacation or have the option to take inter-semesters. |
