SIRCA Graduate Award 2009

 

The SIRCA programme is offering two graduate awards with the objective of providing support for master’s/PhD thesis research in the area of ICT for Development.

This Award is open to all currently enrolled, and entering, students of the Master of Communication Studies/WKWSCI PhD programme by January 2010.

All submissions must be made online to sirca@ntu.edu.sg by Tuesday 15th June, 2009 11:59 EST. Grant award results will be announced in late July 2009.

SIRCA Graduate Award (Stipendary)

SIRCA Graduate Award (Research)

Support:     
Supplemental stipendary support of up to SGD21,000  for a period of two years.

Support:
Supplemental financial support of up to SGD15,000 for a period of two years.

Deliverables:
Annual progress reports
Support toward ICTD research and SIRCA related administrative work.

Deliverables:
Annual progress reports
Coordination of two SIRC seminars annually.

About SIRCA: Sponsored by IDRC, the SIRCA programme focuses on building research capacity among Asian-based scholars who design, conduct, and publish research studies and their corresponding findings. In particular, the SIRCA programme promotes ICT4D high-quality multidisciplinary social science research in Internet development, e-services, new media use and social impact, and policy for the benefit and advancement of individuals, organizations, nations and society. SIRC Visiting Fellow Positions

The Singapore Internet Research Center is now offering Visiting Fellow positions. A research fellowship typically runs between 4 to 12 weeks.

We will provide you with an office, and research facilities.
