   Research, Teaching and Professional Experience
Dr. Hao received his journalism training in both the East and the West. He worked as a correspondent for China's Xinhua News Agency in the 1980s, covering China's political and foreign affairs for overseas readers.
He joined the School in 1993, and has taught such courses as Media and Society, Introduction to Journalism and Publishing, News Writing and Reporting in Chinese, and Statistics. His research interests include issues in Chinese communication, comparative media systems, social impact of new communication technologies, and media effects.
