ST Life! (10 Jun 07, Pg L6) reported on youngsters
collecting online friends, carrying comments from Assoc Prof
Ang Peng Hwa, chair of Wee Kim Wee SCI. He said that people
derive value from belonging to a network, be it to share music
or what not, adding that online identity allows the younger
set to portray themselves as something different from real life.

carried advice from experts on potential dangers online, NTU
media law lecturer Mark Cenite was featured giving advice to
the question What if somebody impersonates me on Friendster,
Facebook or MySpace?. His answer was to email the site
and tell them about the impostor so that the fake would be shut
