Why do yoga?

The ancient art of healing, toning and rejuvenating the body.

“Yoga” means “union”, bringing together the body, mind and soul as a holistic path to health.

“Ha” means sun and “tha” means moon, illustrating the opposing qualities of our breathing, much like yin and yang.

Hatha yoga is practised through posture and breathing. Mastering yoga helps us tap our latent energies and has a calming influence on our mind. The great thing is that it can be practised anywhere, anytime.

Yoga consists of breathing exercise, body postures and meditation. This promotes flexibility and concentration, and relaxation of the mind leads to a calming effect which balances and harmonises the basic structure of the human body. Regular practice replenishes the body with energy, rejuvenates tired muscles and releases stress.
